we don’t get it either! except, at least in my experience, once you prove (not like you should have to, but yknow) to boys that you know your shit, they respect you for it. I have tons of guy friends who absolutely love that I know about sports, and it’s usually all we talk about hahah.

Caps fan here :) Just read the anonymous post some lightning fan asked about the caps not making the playoffs this season. HA! The lightning are so pathetic. I've gone to games here in South Florida against them all three times last season, and honestly nothing is more amusing then the look on their faces when they lose. It's hilarious. We (who ended up dead last in the east this season) managed to beat them 4 times and shut down their best players! TBL has and always will fail. Go Caps/Cats!

I have to say that this is one of the best tumblrs that I have ever seen. I don't feel so alone. I watch College football, NBA (Celtics and Rockets!), and the EPL and La Liga with my dad and his friends. They are totally cool. But the problem is that some of the guys my age try to say that the only reason why I watch sports is just to watch hot guys get sweaty. I just wish that some guys were so small minded, you know?

well kate and I are big huge hockey fans, and a lot of hockey fans follow us on tumblr so when we first made this blog we pimped it out to our followers who are mostly hockey people and they’re who submit sooo. we don’t get a lot of other sports submissions and if we do they’re all relatively the same thing.

there are some super creepy hockey blogs going around. I just want to say something about it.

It is perfectly okay to think athletes are attractive. We all do. We all have ~fantasies~ about them. We can’t deny that.

But there is a fine line between fangirling and being creepy. Sharing your sexual fantasies with the world is a little… much. Not many people do it, but the few that do make the rest of us look bad.

It is because of these people that we have to make blogs like this. We are never taken seriously because a few girls ruin our reputation. Most of us really just want to watch the sport and enjoy it. Then enjoy the players.

I just feel really strongly about this. Keep your fantasies to yourself or your friends. Please don’t share it with the whole internet because the rest of us have to deal with the consequences.

Hey, I had a bunch of friends that were Sport and Recreation Management majors at Temple. (I was a Tourism & Hospitality Management major but our programs were really similar) As far as jobs out of Sport Management... Some of the directions that my friends went in were: Sports Agent/Scout, Facilities Management (stadium work, sales, event operations, and etc), Sports Marketing, Collegiate level sports work, and etc. There's a lot of different outlets with Sport and Rec Management.

I’m thinking about changing my major from advertising research to sports management.

really the only things stopping me are
1. having to take all new pre-reqs and changing my major is gonna be a process and
2. Idk how easy it will be to get a job right out of college with a sports management degree… right now it seems like advertising research is the better option with that.

I don’t think I’ll double major because it’s a huge workload and minoring doesn’t really seem worth it. advertising research with a minor in sports management? uhhh naaah

I know you’re supposed to “do what you love” but I wanna make mad money and I want to make a practical decision.

what should I do?!

well neither of us are at the moment, but we’re both looking into it! personally, I don’t really know much about sports-related majors just because it wasn’t something I was looking for during the college process, all I know is that my school has a sports management program (which I’m really looking into). I’ve also heard of sports journalism, too.
